Last week, Nads and Steve celebrated 18 years of marriage. This dynamic duo has also been working together at Eight Recruitment for the past eight years. If that doesn’t qualify for sainthood, I don’t know what does.

🤵🏼 Define Your Roles 

When it comes to working together, Nads and Steve have mastered the art of defining their roles and delegating tasks—albeit in their own unique, and often hilarious, way.  If there's noise to be made, Nads is making it, meanwhile, Steve operates behind the scenes, like a cleaner with a PhD in damage control. While Nads is busy creating a whirlwind of excitement, Steve is meticulously organising the chaos that follows. He's the silent hero who keeps the engine running smoothly while Nads revs it up to full throttle. By defining their roles clearly, they've turned their differences into strengths, creating a partnership where both the noise and the cleanup are equally valued and expertly managed.

👰🏼 Home Sweet Home

After a long day of navigating the recruitment world together, the last thing Nads and Steve want to do is talk about work. As soon as they walk through the front door, they have a strict "no recruitment talk" policy.  So, while their days might be filled with the highs and lows of the recruitment world, their nights are dedicated to anything but. Because sometimes, the best way to stay sane when you work with your spouse is to leave work at the door and embrace the chaos and comedy of everyday life.

Every victory at Eight is a shared celebration, and it’s no secret that Nads and Steve know how to celebrate in style. A chardonnay toast and a dance-off in the living room—or on any dance floor, — and a reminder of why they make the perfect team both at work and at home. Their celebrations are legendary, often involving impromptu karaoke sessions that leave their neighbours questioning their sanity and choice in music – que Roxette and a bit of Salt ‘N’ Peppa!

What’s the secret to surviving 18 years of marriage and eight years of working together? Laughter. They’ve mastered the art of laughing off the small stuff and loving each other through the big stuff. Their partnership is a testament to the fact that you can mix business with pleasure and come out stronger on the other side.
